The Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion operates within the Division of Student Affairs, embodying Sonoma State's dedication to leadership in diversity, equity, and inclusion. This innovative initiative aims to enhance individual programs through a central office that includes the HUB Cultural Center and the Affinity Faculty Staff Association. Our vision is expansive: Sonoma State is committed to creating a welcoming environment for all students, faculty, staff, and community members. We aspire to inspire everyone to embrace the principles of integrity, accountability, and compassion, enabling us to be mentors and advocates for social justice and civic engagement. We believe leadership exists on both local and global levels. Our collaborative approach is rooted in mutual respect and community well-being, working alongside various divisions, departments, and offices across campus. Our initiatives encompass policy development, strategic planning, engaging in critical dialogues, promoting anti-racism and anti-bias education, and fostering inclusive spaces for learning and support. Through these efforts, we aim to close equity gaps, expand opportunities for success, and deepen our collective commitment to the values outlined in our mission and Strategic Plan.
